Seamless and secure single sign-on implementation for a leading Australian bank, improving user experience and strengthening security for both customers and internal staff. The project aimed to unify access across a wide range of digital banking applications.
The Challenge
The bank's customers and employees had to juggle multiple usernames and passwords for different applications, leading to frustration and a high volume of password-related support calls. This fragmented approach also presented security challenges in tracking and managing user access effectively.
Our Solution
We designed and deployed a centralized single sign-on (SSO) solution based on the Ping Identity platform. The solution provided a single, secure point of entry for all applications, with adaptive multi-factor authentication (MFA) to protect against unauthorized access. We worked closely with the bank's development teams to integrate their applications with the new SSO system.
The Outcome
The SSO implementation has been a resounding success. Customers now enjoy a seamless and secure banking experience, while employees can access the tools they need with a single set of credentials. The bank has seen a significant reduction in password-related support costs and has a much stronger security posture.
